Well, my snow story is not near as bad or painful as anyone elses, it just pisses me off. I got my truck stuck today, when the snow is mostly melted, after driving around in the worst of it the past two days without a problem.
Last night I decided the hill outside of our house was clear enough that I could go down it and swing into my driveway and park there. The driveway was still covered with snow, but it was melting. It so didn't happen as planned. I couldn't go up the driveway more than 6 feet and my truck got stuck hanging halfway out into the road. I had to back out and swing the back of the truck down the hill. It started sliding backwards and I could get no traction on the hill. My only option became to back slide and parallel park along the road in a pretty
tight space. Somehow I did it. But this morning I still had a car 2 feet on either side of me and was parked on an icey spot with one tire in a 2 foot ditch. For the life of me I couldn't get out, the cars were too close and I couldn't get traction. After about 20 minutes of trying, Amy and I had to call in late to work and walk and catch a bus. Lame. I hope one of the cars is gone and enough snow has melted that I can get it out tonight.
