Friday night we cruised to the cabin for a little break from the city. In fall and winter it pretty much rains non-stop there so the beach and woods ain't as much fun as say in summer, but they are still worth a walking around in. Plus it's got no city sounds and it's fun to drink beer or sip wine by a big fire in a cozy cabin and read or watch movies. And my dog absolutely loves the freedom to run and swim.
Saturday we drove up to Bremerton, about 45 minutes north, to explore. We did a fair amount of thrift shopping. While I didn't score as much loot as in Port Orchard, I did get some practically new Levi's that fit me slimmer size. Back at the cabin Amy made a great dinner and we chilled to movies.
Sunday after we cleaned and packed up the truck and started on our way, we discovered a flat tire. The shitty thing is I left the spare in my driveway when I loaded the truck, saying to myself "The tires are only three months old, there is no way you will get a flat." Doh. I hit up my dad and at 9pm he arrived with the tire and a better jack and I switched out the tire. We had already emailed in to take the day off of work, so we spent one more night and came back yesterday afternoon.
The real pisser is I got the flat tire patched and put back on and it went flat again. I didn't end up solving the shit until 6pm. But I managed to salvage part of Monday by hanging flyers for Clinic and Tablet's launch party around the Hill.
